Frequently Asked QUESTIONS

Make your holidays SHINE
What is included in my service?
Our process is completely all-inclusive. It begins with a custom design tailored to your home or business, and we provide everything you need, from the lights and decorations to the labor and equipment. Once you’re booked, we handle it all: professional installation, ongoing maintenance throughout the season, safe takedown in January, and even storage until next year. You enjoy the glow, and we take care of the rest.
When should I get a quote?
The sooner, the better! We start receiving inquiries as early as September, and our installation calendar fills up fast. Contact us early to reserve your spot and secure the date that works best for you.
How long will my Christmas light installation project take?
Once your installation date is scheduled, we’ll provide you with a projected decorating timeframe. While we always work efficiently, please keep in mind that weather and other unexpected factors may cause the actual time to be slightly shorter or longer than estimated.
Will We Need To Hire An Electrician?
No — you won’t need to hire an electrician. Our Christmas Creations team is fully trained to handle all lighting and electrical setup safely and professionally. We take care of everything for you, so you can relax and focus on enjoying the season.
How Much Does Christmas Light Installation Cost?
Every project is unique, and pricing depends on the size of your home or business, the design you choose, and the scope of the installation. We’ll provide you with a clear estimate based on your specific needs and vision. Our services start at $500, with most residential installations typically ranging between $1,000–$2,000. This way, you’ll know exactly what to expect before we bring your holiday display to life.
Do I need to be home for installation or removal?
No, you do not need to be home for either installation or removal. The only exception is if you are paying by cash or check, then you will need to be home at the time of installation.
What happens if I encounter issues with the lights while they are installed?
Maintenance services are included with your package! If there is an issue with the lighting please contact us and we will repair the issue, typically within 48 hours. Some limitations apply.
What type of payments do you take?
We take all forms of payment including; Cash, Check, Credit, Debit, ACH.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We are fully registered with the State of Connecticut and carry $1 million in insurance coverage for your peace of mind.
What decorations do you offer?
We offer a wide variety of Christmas decorations, including lighting for your roof and ridgeline, driveway and sidewalks, railings and columns, as well as trees and bushes. We also provide greenery such as garland and lit wreaths.
Why should we hire Christmas Creations instead of a handyman or other service provider?
Christmas Creations specializes exclusively in holiday lighting and décor. Unlike general service providers, we use professional-grade products designed to last the season without frequent outages. We are fully insured and committed to reliable service, including prompt takedown after the holidays. Many homeowners who hire non-specialized installers end up frustrated by poor-quality materials, lack of insurance, or crews who never return. Choosing a professional holiday lighting company ensures your display is safe, beautiful, and worry-free.
How do you install Christmas lights?
Our goal is to be as non-invasive as possible. We use a variety of clips and specialized methods to attach lights without making permanent alterations to your home or property. In some cases, such as securing a wreath, we may need to use a small screw. Don’t worry, this screw is very small, leaves no visible damage, and most clients don’t even realize it’s there after the décor is taken down!
I have my own Christmas lights that I purchased. Can you install them for me?
In order to guarantee the best possible experience we use our own brand of commercial-grade LED lighting and décor. There is a big difference in the appearance and quality of the lights we use versus what is carried in the local stores or on Amazon.
